Mehrangarh Fort Jharokhas – Architectural Balcony Series
A detailed set of architectural scale models depicting ornamental jharokhas from Mehrangarh Fort, additive manufactured in Hyperform and hand-painted to enhance shadow, depth, and monochrome relief.

This architectural model project presents a close-up study of the ornate jharokha balcony systems integrated within the palace facades of Jodhpur’s Mehrangarh Fort. Created using spatial scan data and additive manufacturing via Hyperform, the high-resolution prints capture the intricate stone carvings, fine lattice screens (jaalis), multi-tiered support brackets, and dramatic curved eaves typical of traditional Marwar architecture. Each piece was hand-painted to create a subtle monochrome finish, applying targeted highlights and shading across recessed relief features to accentuate depth and architectural geometry under spotlighting.
