Mehrangarh Fort Artifact – Camel Bone Lotus Finial Replica

An exact restored replica of a historic camel bone architectural artifact from Mehrangarh Fort, Additive Manufactured in Hyperform via photogrammetry and hand-painted to revive its original vibrant finish.

Hand-painted replica of a camel bone lotus finial artifact from Mehrangarh Fort featuring a red textured bulb atop a green leaf collar and square plinth base.

This restoration project reproduces a historic architectural element—originally carved from camel bone—discovered within the Mehrangarh Fort complex. Utilizing photogrammetric spatial data provided by the project architect, the degraded original artifact was digitally reconstructed and fabricated using Hyperform through additive manufacturing. To reverse decades of color fading and material degradation, the physical replica was hand-painted to faithfully restore its original aesthetic state. The piece showcases a vibrant crimson lotus bud adorned with fine yellow floral motifs, resting upon a green foliate collar and a square pedestal with ivory and red detailing.
